A date. An answer.

Fidelia is where a couple in Lebanon asks a venue if the date is free, and sees where each price came from.

Pick a Saturday.

Start with the date. Every venue is asked about that one day.

Cards and favors have a group.

Invitations and favors are listed like any other vendor. One with no price on file says so.

Ask the venue about your date.

We send your date to the venue. Its terms read the way it states them: a minimum, a rate for each guest, then your count.

The venue answers.

It says free, taken, not a fit, or call me. Some never answer, and you are told that too.

Every price says whose it is.

Each price carries one of these four labels, and a date where we know it.

  • From their own material
  • They told us
  • Our reading, to confirm
  • Not given

Save the ones to visit.

Dress and beauty vendors are listed together. Tap the heart, and they stay in My wedding.

Every card names its trade.

Hair and make-up sit in the same group as bridal couture. Open one to see what it lists.

Ask the photographer too.

Photo and video vendors get the same question as the venue. When one is free and a number is on file, Call and WhatsApp appear.

Flowers arrive on one date.

Flowers and decor vendors are listed together. Ask one if that date is free.

The drums start. The date was settled long before.

The door is yours to open.

A couple knocks with one date. You answer in one tap: free, taken, not a fit, or call me.

Everyone plans on their own phone.

Add your partner as an equal, or family to help, each on their own phone. When a venue says your date is free, share your date card.

From DJ to dabke.

Music lists DJs and live bands, and zaffeh and dabke troupes. My wedding adds only the prices we hold.

The morning after has a list.

Hotels and honeymoon is a group of its own. Any booking is between you and them.

A concierge, with limits.

It is built never to say a date is free unless the venue did.

Built never to

  • Say a date is free unless the venue did.
  • Give a price without its source.
  • Take a payment or promise one.
  • Ask for your code or a password.
  • Pretend to be a person.
